Yes, BT is from Maryland, I remember reading the sleeve notes of his rare and remixed cd where one of the guys from Deep Dish comments on how he revolutionized electronic music production and it says "not bad for an averagely talented white boy from Maryland," and that's how I know!

IMO, the US has more renowned house and techno djs, not so much trance. After all, House came from Chicago and NYC, Techno came from Detroit!

I think the San Fran house scene has some good stuff like Mark Farina, Julius Papp, and Miguel Migs!
