Ever heard of The Eurythmics? Dave Stewert producing synth based music that was very, very commercially successful in the 1980's with 23 top 40 hits in the UK, Annie Lennox being the vocalist.

She also had a successful solo career in the early 90's with 9 uk top 40 hits.

She’s had more UK top 40 hits than Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion .
