You guys keep mentioning that the DJ is set up high in the Guv. This is not always true. The good thing about Guv is that it is big enough to have various set-ups. They do set up DJs on the stage and there was even a nice podium once set up for Deep Dish which reminded me of Aria because you could go behind and watch them spin.
IMO, I like both clubs for different reasons. If they could combine the good things of both clubs into one cool club then that would the the worlds greatest club ever!!!

i've had my worst, and some of my greatest clubbing experiences at the Guv before. i don't think that either Guv or Aria can be accurately compared without frequenting each on a consistent basis.
it's just unfortunate that they are often compared in the first place simply because they're the 2 more prominent clubs in their respective cities. Both seem to be catered to different types of crowds..
but just like ShAwZy said .. apples and oranges.. or pears!

i would have to say its a big trade off
guvernment has a better sound system but it always gets too packed
aria has a better crowd a better vibe.. i always have more fun in montreal due to this
kool haus just plain sucks.. they need to definately upgrade their soundsystem.. and now that they have all the trance events in kool haus isntead of guvernment montreal takes the cake for trance
as for progresssive.. maybe we should bring stereo into this as well
oh ya.. and if you want ot REALLY party hard.. there is no question that Aria is better than guv.. because its open till nooon unlike 7am
in toronto
i dont even have to get into talking about tengalia's 19.5 hour set at stereo..

having gone to both clubs...i like both for different reasons...
however...ive gone to Guverment during a regular nite and Mark Oliver blew me away so I would have to say Guverment...not to mention its MADD cheap and the sound/lasers/club setups are SIIICK!!! -=) yea the floor gets madd crowded...my solution is to always hit the stage...i never have problems dancing up there
