Coming from a tropical island, i know for a fact that the northeast is not prepared at all for a major hurricane like this one. Of course, the intensity of this monster will decrease as it moves northwards (these are not the 80 degree Farenheit waters of the Caribbean anymore ) , but still even a minor hurricane or tropical storm will fuck up this region. I live in a wooden house in CT, there's no way it can stand over 90 mph sustained winds, let alone a category 4 (that won't happen).
Oh shit, the memories of seeing everything destroyed, of all the trees in my neighborhood trampled in the floor side by side with roofs and all kinds of shit, of weeks without water and electricity, and especially that brutal sound that this monstercanes make. It's so amazingly terryfying. I will never forget Hugo (1989) and Georges (1998). Better be prepared if Isabel hits your town, this is no joke.
