i know that the avalon in boston, you can fold up a 10$ bill and hand it to the bouncer under your 'REAL' ID and they would let you in. NY might be alittle tougher... i did it back in the day when i first started going there. .. thank god im over 21 now b/c it got real expensive =)

They could make on license (like in restaurants) a lower age, and liquor stores 21 or something. The anti-alcohol groups are very powerful in the US (especially MADD), and that's why there are so many stupid laws concerning alcohol.

p.s. When they filmed "Saturday Night Fever" the drinking age was 18 or 19. Too bad the music sucked. :P
