Steve Ohanessian aka. sohaness - progressive [ 22:00 - 23:30 ]
We welcome Steve to his first ever TA Invasion as he opens the evening and sets the mood with the sweet sounds progressive house and trance. Born in Toronto with an Armenian background, Steve had just recently begun DJ'ing although he is no stranger to the progressive scene and attributes much of his influences to the likes of Danny Howells, Nick Warren, Radiohead, Phish, as well as hiphop sounds of the early 90's. He has been featured on the Internet radio show thevoids.com hosted by Aaron K and has played in such clubs as Elements in Kitchener. We eagerly await Steve as he begins what is sure to be the start of an eclectic night.
Jim Tran aka. quddha - trance [ 23:30 - 00:30 ]
The youngest, but likely one of the most versatile DJ's of the night is Jim Tran. Jim is not only a DJ but a new media designer responsible for production works alongside partner Joe Ching. The two form a tandem whos aim is to explore various genres of electronic music, keeping an open mind to all styles, techniques and new ideas. Jim's success in production would eventually land him the winning mix dubbed "Blistered" which he was awarded for in the 2nd TA Battle of the Mixers held in the Amateur DJ forum just under a year ago. His goals are to be creative in the music industry, pushing the boundaries of the field, and ultimately progressing and innovating DJ'ing and production.
DJ Eso - trance [ 00:30 - 02:00 ]
Przemyslaw Peter Greszata was born in Poznan, Poland and recently moved to Canada where he has been largely involved with many past Tranceaddict events. A veteran of the Tranceaddict community, Peter has been responsible for organizing the famed enTrance parties in the early days of TOTA. Since then he has accomplished much success having played alongside the likes of Canadian dj JELO at various eBombs sponsored events and more recently at TA Invasion: Viva Nightclub alongside fellow TOTA DJ Mobius, Walter Rosati, and Dumonde. Eso's sounds have also been heard worldwide having played live to air on the popular ets-global.org trance radio Internet broadcast. We are excited to have DJ Eso back playing at his 2nd TA Invasion appearance with an extended 1.5 hr set in tribute to his recent success at Viva Nightclub.

Another newcomer to the TA Invasion lineup is Mike Schryer who has been one of TOTA's fastest rising DJ's. Mike has gathered the attention of many fans with his breed of hybrid trance involving everything from techno to hard trance, even progressive and dark electro. His style of music is often influenced by sounds from the likes of Commander Tom, Christopher Lawrence, and Jon The Dentist however his music is compared most with that of Yves DeRuyter. He had been recently selected and featured at the Tribe.ca up and comers tent at this year's WEMF where he played to an enthusiastic crowd. Humble in personality and an avid musician, Mike strives to offer his unique talent to help influence people by providing them with energy, motivation, and a true sense of happiness from the distinct style of music that he offers.

One of the newest Toronto Tranceaddict members is DJ Diwa who hails from the Philipines. Romel Diwa joined Tranceaddict a few months ago in what is becoming a burgeoning drum & bass / jungle subcommunity. Diwa brings to us a dark drum & bass sound reminiscent with that of DJ's Goldie and Dylan from the UK. Having won past DJ battles and beat matching competitions, he has also played at recent Tranceaddict socials providing a very upbeat and energetic mood for trance and drum & bass fans alike. We are happy to welcome our very first Tranceaddict drum & bass DJ to the TA Invasion lineup as he is set to rally the crowd in what is sure to a most memorable night.
