as a person who regularly frequents BOTH scenes...gay and straight and enjoys BOTH. (Strictly music wise here people). i will point out that ive noticed in the last few months that more and more people from "both" cultures are willing to come out to a straight club (if theyre gay) or gay club (if theyre straight) simpley for the music. this is just a casual observation and i for one am glad to see minds awakening...

Actually this is quite obvious if you've ever been to Kool Haus when a major DJ is spinning...

At first I was baffled by the whole notion of homosexuality but then I was thinking.. I like being with women and they like being with their own sex. So what's the big bloody deal? As long as it makes them happy it ain't gonna bother me or make me "ill" for that matter. The world is what you make of it buddy and if you're gonna let a stupid issue like this bother you then I pity you.
yes ive seen gay people before but not when they had sex. the sex part is wat makes me ill.

What is all this BS... why do the hetero TA's care if the gay TA's want to form their own hangout group? I'm really not into Pride or anything, but don't try to cut someone up for looking for people with something in common - are you going to start complaining about Asians that hang out with other Asians? Polish people that hang out with other Poles? Black or brown people that stick together?
Give it a break... some people's posts in this thread make chris's motivation quite clear.

I guess what I was trying to say is that more segregation is not what this world needs...
But hey....each to their own...

chris is simply trying to gather a group of ppl that are gay/gay positive. if you belonged to a group that wasn't privy to widespread acceptance you would probabaly do the same. I also think it's terribly innapropriate for those that are not gay to make sweeping claims about the 'acceptingness' of TA or society in general. He's not trying to segragate gay from stright so much as gay postive from other. I personally would rather be around ppl that are willing to accept me, rather than not- and i think that's normal.
on a side note, chrismack is such a sweetheart! I feel really lucky that i got to know him! I don't want to get all mushy and embarrass him by extolling his virtues on a public messageboard...but really, i fantastic invidual!
