Would have been better if kubrick did the whole thing. Too bad he died...hes a master of great film making...spielberg is too hollywood if you ask me, though i must say he has skillz too, as is aparent in his films Empire of the Sun and The Goonies.

WOW!

I just have to say this movie was brilliant

Like when 2001 came out, a lot of people liked it, but many people didn't really appreciate that film right away. I think this is the case with AI.

I enjoyed this film in so many levels, theres so much depth to the plot! Wow, I'm still re-thinking the movie in my head, I am very impressed.

I've always been a big fan of Kubrick, but I worried that Spielberg might not get it right for Kubricks style... How wrong I was, he did an incredible job, its just too bad Kubrick wasn't around to see it, I know he would have bitched a lot but he would have enjoyed it immensly (thats just his style.)

I think this film will be a long remembered film, I'm not sure what awards it will recieve, but in my books nothing can beat this film for best picture IMO.

10/10 for this film, first time I've said that in a few years, about time we had a film of this caliber come out. Thank you Spielberg and Kubrik!

OK, I just saw the movie and I give a 7/10.

You defintely know when Steven Spielberg comes in a takes over where Stanley Kubrick left off for Spielberg. Originaly Kubrick wrote the script, died before he could finish it, then passed it to Spielberg. It would of been nice to see how Kubrick would of ended it. I would of given it a 10 but Spielberg lost me during the "stadium scene". All in a good movie to see.

Oh yeah, JayD. Kubrick's best (my opinion) movie was either Clockwork Orange or the Shining. Man knows how to move you in a movie.

I think my favourite was Full Metal Jacket, but I enjoyed all the others as well for the exception of Eyes Wide Shut...

Anyone else here watch or enjoy David Lynch films...they are stranger and more twisted. Some examples are: Eraserhead, Wild at Heart, Lost Highway, Twin Peaks (TV Series), Blue Velvet, Elephant Man.

I LOVE the shining! If you like dark movies, try a great film by Sam Peckinpah called Straw Dogs with Dustin Hoffman .. Thats a very disturbing yet interesting film. And if you enjoy horror films see The Exorcist III with George C. Scott, one of the best horror films ever made, and so many people haven't seen it yet. I'm a horror movie buff, so if anyone wants to start a thread, I'd be glad to share my favorites

Being John Malcovich was made by Spike Jonez, the same guy who directed that video by Fat boy Slim - Praise you.

Being that the boy in AI is a huge part of the film you may have some issues with the movie, but I sincerely hope you can get past him, he does a great job in this movie. I say see it anyways, its only $8 dollars, and if you enjoy it as much as I did you'll not regret it.

Nice to see so many Kubrick fans, I thought it was likely that younger people today wouldn't care much about his films, I am very impressed with you cool cats

it's a very good movie, but it's not an OMFG movie for me... the special effects are good, and it wasn't made simply for the sake of making money. it does explore some interesting concepts, like the need for being a unique individual... definitely a must see.
