I organize them by style and influences..

- tech-house
- deeper techno
- melodic
- spacy
- harder

with the classics at the end.. Works for me.

mine is all over my bedroom atm. thats because im keying them. but when ive finished i will put them in order of key and srtest. the only problems comes when a records has 2 tracks with different keys. i think il use the key of the side i play most. then if i need the other side and its all in alphabetical order, i just hunt for the artest in each sub section.

I key mix so mine are organized into key and bpm. i have 4 boxes. One is all my signed records, one is older trance, one is new trance and one is progressive/breaks.

Thats because she is part camel

I have now got my vinyl in alphabetical of artist.

I find it difficult to classify via genre, or may be i just have too much epic trance.

If i find the time i think i'll go for bmp / key but thats a lot of catching up to do.

I try to organise by BPM, but oftentimes after a mix session I'm too lazy to re-organize again, which kind of messes up my grand designs.

i have a little over 100 vinyls and have them in 2 crates. vocals, and non-vocals. i have a divider in each box, and in front of the divider i will have about 5-10 records that im thinking of spinning at that time. mostly new stuff and then just random stuff that im in the mood for. somtimes ill keep a record up front for a few weeks and other times it only sticks around for 1 set. this works well for me, but im sure as my collection grows i will need a better system or organization.

i am thinking about buying my friends record collection of about 400 pieces, then i dont know what the hell im gonna do. or where im gonna store them all. eek!
