Yeah, I may have typed that about Overdrive in a confusing way. Definitely not Tribal. Not everyone loves her style but it really gets the crowd going (she also played Jonesey – Independence which is classic). She’s not quite as hardcore as Psycho.

As for the door – no Brad Altman!! It’s the old Crobar door staff. I guess that was all a (terrible) rumor.

The inside – they might as well have knocked it all down and built a new club. Same size, but completely different club. Definitely not the old interior. If you are expecing dark/dank/raw warehouse (which I loved too), its not that. It is upscale but not too pretentious – if you like Crobar Miami’s venue you will love this. This is easily one of the best venues in the country.

The sound system is the EAW Avalon – pretty much top of the line. Its REALLY booming on the floor but really clear and crisp…think the opposite of Transit! The way they have the speakers, there are areas like in the VIP balconies and by the big bar that you can have a conversation. Lighting is really good as it was before. I only wish they had one of those green lasers

Very cool crowd - didn’t seem too glam – hopefully Teri will keep them away. (You know the Crobar vibe where you meet shitloads of cool people). Lots of old Crobar kids…but way less shirtless guys and more hot girls. There was a buzz in the place the whole time. I didn’t really feel like I was in Chicago.

Any other reviews? Mine may be biased cause I have always liked Crobar. Pretty much everyone I talked to was loving it. I remember thinking "this is how a club should be". We’ll see how the next few weeks go after the initial buzz wears off…but I have high hopes.

Teri is the Saturday Night Resident, and she is revamping her style (once again) to meet the times and the new flavor of Crobar. She of course will be banging out some of her favorites (Wasteland is a must in Crobar, and Overdive) but expect Teri to be banging out brand new shit over the next couple of months

The sound system is the same as Crobar Miami, Phazon.
How did you all like the CO2 blasts from the ceiling! Way fucking
cool, and brought the tempature of the whole club down like 20 degrees in seconds!

From what I have been told, expect Crobar to bring in national and internation talent, following the opening of Crobar NY.

What I do know for sure......is that its good to be home

My opionion of course is a little weighted, but hey what can I say

Peace
Zeus

I cannot put into words how excited I am to have a full Phazon system in operation in Chicago.

I'll have to check this place out, I'm supposed to go to some Tribune party there on the 7th.
