despite this there is no proof that anything will change for the better. Its true Saddam will not continue killing people, but many other things will. One only has to look at Afghanistan to see how much good American liberation does.

I would also like to point out that the amount of people Saddam killed is not even comparable to the amount of people killed by U.S. sanctions over the past ten years.

i don't think america's agenda was ever specifically the afghans. We were after terrorists, just so happened about %75 of them where in Afghanistan. We also went around to Germany, France, Canada, and within our own borders to get terrorists, not afghans.

The problem is the government only controls Kabul. Warlords and the Taliban control pretty much the rest of the country.
