Actually, I copied this from the maganzine itself. My friend came over from England this past weekend and brought the October MixMag with him...
There is a 3-page article/interview with Paul Van Dyk it in.
So, go get the new MixMag....????... to get the full article.

So he sits there badmouthing artists whose remixes he chose to play, and then he toots his own horn over 'Connected' which is mediocre at best.
Bad choice of words here, Paul.

Yeah but at least they have produced tracks which are noteworthy and deserve praise for creativity and freshness.
And they probably didn't rip on artists whose tracks they played themselves
Absolute hypocrit.

This all goes back to the thing that you'll hear out of any big DJ: Genres are dumb. While Scooter and Ian van Dahl can technically be considered trance, it is not at all like the music of PvD, which is totally different than the music Tiesto, which doesn't even resemble the music of BT, which isn't the same as Max Graham...... do you see where I'm going with this?
I consider music by Ian van Dahl and other similar artists "Commercial Club Music". When I say "Commercial" I am not implying that it is good or bad, but simply that it is dance music meant to appeal to a more mainstream audience. If somebody asked me if it was "Trance" I would say "Definitely Not!"
