anyways, joke aside >first of all to get back to the original part of the discussion, canada has a huge backlog in asylum applications under the old law as the new law (since june 2002) is not applicable retroactively ...meaning lots of people are trickling through the system and often unjustifiably deported without a chance to appeal -as that mechanism of our 'effective' immigration system has also been removed by the honourable coderre!!!) ;
secondly, they did not make their set quota of accepting new immigrants this year (hence this whole argument);
and, thirdly, the CIC and IRB are fully aware that new immigrants are clustering in the urban areas, so they are trying to accept ppl more in the blue collar range in order to move them out to the less populated rural areas. *anyone up for living with mennonites and hutterites in the mid-ieval ages! hehehe!!
on the other hand when talking in respect to accepting skilled workers etc. they are not given the chance of applying their professions, PhD's and what not's as Canada will not recognize other professions unless u re-educate, which again costs money and time -and the rest of the consequences you can think yourselves ... probs over probs agh!! ...
and on top of that -as we talked about earlier -those lazy mofo's ur talking about who sit on their asses all day and do nothing (sounds like TA's to me!! ahahaha!) ehhummm...well, what would you do if the guvernment offered you loads of cash to sit on your ass and you're better paid than scrubbing a toilet at min. wage?
it's all a matter of the system!!! it sux! end of story! ... that's my job to try and fix it ...so shut up and dance!
see you all next w-e!!

i hate when people start threads like this. 90% of the people that start shit like this havent even wondered outside their back yards yet alone been to a diffrent country. for every Canadian that wants to sit there and talk about how bad America is.....you dont have a fucking clue how simular our countries are alike. Abbas....just cause you had a couple bad experiences in VA doesnt mean its like that everywhere. Iv been all over the states and been to Toronoto plenty of times and i have to say man......TO isnt Gods gift to North America If you wanna bitch about how fucked up a country is, try spending three months in Saudi Arabia where they cut your body parts off in front of hundreds of people for shoplifting. not that it happend to me but ive been there. |
I spent 10 years in Kuwait, and lived there during the Gulf War, you are just using extreme cases, I witnessed an execution of 3 Iraqi soldiers (during the war) because they raped some women....
I lived there, all my friends lived there, and their families lived there (whether it was Kuwait, Saudi, UAE, Qatar, etc...) and we all got out with all out body parts! and last I heard that only happened in Iran anyway
and what you dont see is a 5 year old shooting someone, or a 14 year old going into a school cafeteria and taking out a gun and killing his fellow students, or someone robbing a bank, and so on...now dont get me wrong, im not saying it a perfect system, because no such thing exists
and im not saying TO is Gods gift to N.A., I personally like Vancouver and Montreal more, I was just saying I miss home sweet home thats all
yes I think Canada kicks ass, and it is better than the US in many ways than one (but thats just my opinion!)
