You are truly lucky if that is your first time seeing shit like that Jolz, pretty much everyday i have my headphones on, those are big (HDJ 1000's) and still listening to that techno stuff, i love when i am actually listening to techno so i can pretend i am not surrounded by unmusically educated fools lolz.
I mean, i know what the difference between rap, hiphop, and lyrical hiphop are.
I can name several metal genres,
I somewhat can hold my weight in a pop music convo at times.
Can talk to the emos a bit, the punkers.
but can they even breath in a convo about electronic music in general,
"what are you listening to"
""
"what is that?"
"oh like that techno stuff?"
"......... There is a huge difference"
"what is it"
"it is hard to explain, well techno focuses more on a rhythmic driving bass line and drum set up, trance mainly orients around the synthesizers, the songs are way more 'meaty' mean while house has a dryer slower sound than techno or trance"
"whats a synthesizer, and or Uh i dont get it"
" *thinks, i wish i had a pistol to take you off the earth"
/me places headphones on in defeat and walks away
