I love rap and hip hop/r&b. If it werent for that then 2 things would change @ the club..

1)Id have no break from dancing to the trance/dancy stuff to go get a drink/pee!
2) IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PICK UP CHIXS WHILE RAVING. Or at least I think it is. U get a girl goin to Pony(ginuwine) and dude...shes ridin your cock from behind in a second! By far the best bump and grind song ever!

much easier to get girls while dancing to rap then trance IMO.

well..... here also its hard to avoid the Rap & R&B... but its the same with many other genres (apart from techno & trance)... which is i only like some of it, if its really good. like i dunno... dre aint that bad, eminem is slightly funny...

But i think it crosses the line when ur in a club and a DJ is playin Trance... and all the homies yell out "We Want Some Fuckin' Rap Yawl"... and THE NEXT SONG somehow mixes in with destinys child or some fucked up shit !!!! well.... this happened 6 days ago. And i can only cry about it my fellow TA's...

hehe

oh well

Trance 4 eva

Rap..... phhh

Me too, wayyyyyy before anyone ever coined the phrase "trance". And that was quite a ways back because compared to most of you guys, I'm old (26). Brakedancing, beatboxing, I was into all of that. In fact, I started mixing rap nonstop back in 1990, and I carried that over to trance. Favorites were and still are: Boogie Down Productions/KRS-One, Rakim, and Public Enemy. The list could go on. Sadly, rap/hip hop took a turn for the worse in the late 90s, that's why I don't listen to new rap at all. I listen to trance 90% of the time now, but I'll never ever leave rap.

But for me, trance is the rap of the new millennium. Because 1. it's very mixable (obviously), 2. it's pretty much still underground/non mainstream (at least in the USA), 3. the joining of artists on one song, 4. the countless remixes you can make, and 5. mixtapes (or CDs). I can't think of too many genres that do that except for maybe reggae which I also love.

Rap is occasionally ok, i can listen to it, but it does not give me the same feeling inside that trance and dance does.

Trance is easy to listen to, but rap is more in your face.

I have to say i did like

Outkast - 'So Fresh, So Clean (Fatboy Slim Mix)

So it shows that the two can be mixed

for me hip hop is nothing but adult singing mother goose rhymes...they all got no talent IMO...now when you start singing then thats a diff story...let see those R.A.P (really annyoing poetry) artist sing.....well i remember that song..."cuase you say he is just a friend" oh he had a lovely voice...RAP is CRAP......i like the will smith kind of rap..thats it...call me lame...dont care.
Maybe the reason i hate rap (now) cause its not the same as the 80s' rap..

Can't handle rap. I always thought it was just a way for people with no talent to get into the music industry. Enough already!
