The bubbles are from a state change (liquid to gas) AFAIK... ALthough i can attest to "superheated water"... I put a glass of water in about 3/4 full and microwaved it for about 20 minutes (as a timer or something) about 15 minutes in. KA-FUCKING-BOOM.. i go back and look the glass is blown in half.. my mate was pissed.. cos well.. it was his home it happened at.. still funny as fuq
