Mec, you've committed 3 cardinal sins here:
1) You got the LJBF (Let's Just Be Friends) speech - yes, you got it, no matter how she sugar-coated it - and you didn't walk away.
2) You not only took her call after the LJBF, but told her you wanted to "work things out."
3) You made plans to drive 90 miles to see her, on less than 1 day's notice!
These things make you look completely and utterly desperate and whipped. When a girl gives you the LJBF, you give her the heave-ho. When you've just "broken up", you don't immediately start trying to get back together. And when you make plans to go see her, you definitely don't make it look like you're available 24/7 and never have other plans!!!
Incidentally, there's no such thing as "friendship love", buddy, anyone who says they "love you as a friend" doesn't know what the fuck love is. Listen carefully and clearly, she wants to dangle you by a thread while she fucks around with her ex boyfriend.
If you haven't left yet, though, never fear. You can still save yourself.
When you get to her place, you walk right in that door, take a seat, and tell her that you cannot continue to have a relationship with her if she's not over her ex yet. You tell her that you did not want to have this discussion over the phone, because that would be immature (which serves two purposes, it gives you a perfect excuse for driving all the way down there and makes her feel like the childish little shit that she is). You tell her that you appreciate her honesty about her ex boyfriend, but you're not going to play any games, and that if she hasn't moved on yet, then she's not ready for a relationship with you, and therefore you can no longer see each other.
Then no matter what happens, you walk out that door and go home. If she shows total apathy, you're better off anyway. If she freaks, then not to worry, she'll call you later on if/when she's worked out her priorities and realizes what sacrifices she has to make (i.e. not being a lying cheating bitch).
There is no other way. Hopefully you haven't already left yet. If you have, and you're catering to her every whim down there, then I'm sorry to say you're fucked and that this relationship will only lead you into more misery and STD's.
