Hey hey, new guy!
Well i was a hiphopper before I started listening to Trance.. I know that I've always liked Trance'y stuff but didn't really get into it,. until last year.. I started out with Oakenfold, Trance Nation, and lot's of cheese tracks like "your" Final Fantasy - I Close My Eyes.. (anyone remember all those Terminator II-tracks? )

Didn't like Dj Sammy, though..

I love it that she can't stand Traffic and Nothing yet likes Castles in the Sky, Nothing but you and Children. It shows a lot about evolution and specifically, where Tiesto stands on it

And BTW... is the artist Final Fantasy? or is that for the soundtrack? I hate friggin' mp3 file sharing... everything is tagged wrong.

That's the name of the artist... it's got nothing to do with any of the songs on the games (trust me I've played me all except X2 and 11). A lot of people thought it was a remix from one of the games but I had to tell them otherwise. /me is a big RPG fan

Well Ian Van Dahl has changed his style for the better and Sunlight by DJ Sammy isn't nearyl as bad as some shit I've heard.

I'd reccomend Paul van Dyk to start. Also Dumonde make some quality bangin' tunez and if you come to truly appreciate the genre of trance then check out Gabriel and Dresden

Good to see you're not bashing these genres beforehand. I also started out with the more accessible trance (Ferry Corsten, Rank 1, Armin van Buuren, Tiësto etc.), and now I'm also into techno and progressive. It's just a matter of taste developing.

That's what I like about this genre. Its funny how you can hear something once...dismiss it...and then hear it again later that week and all of a sudden you can appreciate it.
It's like that with Tiesto for me. I heard Traffic and hated it right away... then I listened to some of his remixes (..Made of Stars,etc.) then some of his work like suburban train...
and I'm starting to get into Traffic. (well okay, not quite..but you get the idea!)

I don't blame you for not liking "James Holden - Nothing" i found the song crap too...

and just cross your fingers that you don't cross to progressive...

also Digital Aura..if you cant get those songs i said, try getting a different file sharing program.
