Straight up, foo!!

As long as they don't overdo it with the dress code, it's all good! And Yonge/Dundas area? Pffft, that's jokes... just hit that up right after my classes at Ryerson, 2 mins away, now that would be SWEEET!

And yeah, no alcohol? I see a hefty cover charge coming...

What I was trying to say was even though I'm not a huge fan of dress code (never really was but I don't dress like a bum either) that I cannot at all whatsoever picture this club open until NOON 12pm. Especially without a liquor license and people dancing there on chems (because the majority of the people there will have to be to be up that late for them to be able to survive the night). Can any of you picture a place Guv sized or larger venue open until the afternoon the next day with "stylish", "sexy" people there to have a good time, without liquor?(Film is entirely different as it is a small lounge type of club and has liquor and a "style" code similar to Guv I believe). Also, just something I noticed, if the point of dress code is to "weed out those undesireables" presumably those that do drugs and cause ruckus and get all cracked out etc then why have a club that's open until 12pm noon and have dress code to begin with? If they do manage to open it I doubt the club will be packed with people considering they have dress code and no alcohol for the night. Besides, "classy" people I don't think tend to stay up until 12pm the next day and party like that. They go to Sequel in Yorkville or Money or Inside and leave at 2:30/3am and go home.

So what type of dress code are you guys all supporting?

Are we talking 2 piece suit w/ Tie?

There are infinite levels of dress codes.

I'm sure if I made all you wear tuxedos then you'd bitch and whine like a bunch of union members..

So - propose something....

oh yea? gimme a good reason y 'ala-malek'!

as for the dress code: in my mind i have fabric in london or ibiza >trendy, hip, cool crowd ... that is still allowed to wear sneakers and jeans but with combo of sexiness and some class!

Rj, I'd say Khakis are acceptable. I vote for the Guv style code...
I'm also happy wearing jeans and a decent t shirt. As for being trendy/london/ibiza style like Silke suggested (I think that's your name right?) I won't mind that, as long as it's not uber selective, ie only a certain type of crowd lookswise can hang out there. I'm not a huge fan of that.

I'm on the dresscode bandwagon.

Just to spicen it up even more. Add another demension to making this club different.

In particular, SHOES and JEANS. Just to classy the place up. Don't worry we can still wear our party shit for the GUV or KH parties. But I think we've grown up enough now that we can do it up properly. Non?

dress code = the best

reason:

while people spend time getting dressed up for a night of fun after a long week of work/school where they cant really wear club clothing, others in that club dress like bums and just ruin it...

im down with dress code

Can I just ask a question? All those in favour of dress code, what kind of clothing are you in favour of wearing while going out to those types of clubs? Dress pants/dress shirts/skirts? Because all the clubs w dress code that I have ever seen have that and unless you're wearing anything but you will have a really hard time getting in...
I also think it boils down to comfort. If you are comfortable going out and wearing the appropriate clothing for a club with dress code and be able to dance, have a good time, sweat it out, going mental in a club then more power to you. I for one aren't really the type to. Although I have done it.

dood..if u wear really decent jeans taht dont sag and crap, u can get in as well

its all about the style, not the type of clothing

Not from what I've seen Liam. I went to Palazzo for the TA thing and the only way we got in was because there was a group of 6 or so of us(I was wearing dark black jeans that looked not casual at all, stylish etc). Even then the bouncer said "Next time no jeans". I think it boils down to either you have a strict dress code or you don't. Only place that has a middle ground is Guv.

haha after hours with dress code...my ass
but seriously if this is on a sat..itll have to be something real special to get me to come instead of go to the guv or even systems. I dont get swayed easily. If its on a Friday, its still gonna have to be real good to get me not to go to System. The fact that its open till 1 is a good start....

interesteing..ill keep my eye on this for sure...
and damnit i was hoping to see sander k @ system.

as for dress code..
i dont like it....why cuz i dont stand around and make idle chatter at clubs... i mean sure meet new people and make new friends and shit...but when good music is playing i will be 10 times outta 10 dancing my ass off infront of the DJ booth. Dress code means blisters the next morning unless i have like expensive shoes that look good and are still comfy. Gimme a tshirt, jeans and sneakers man. only thing im comfortable in. Big reason why i havent gone to lotus yet. (woudla gone for digweed but was out of town).

thats just me tho
to everyone their own.
