I'm speechless ... I don't know where to begin, so I won't . I am right about the whole renegade thing though ...

Anyway I'm not sure how I got dragged into this. I'm not one of these lackeys who instantly believes everything the media or the president of China tells me, but given I wasn't really familiar with this situation before you brought it up, I figured it was worth at least "mentioning" what China feels (or say they feel) about the situation. Besides, why should I immediately believe that your word is more reliable than that of the media or Hu Jintao? How do we know that China isn't pointing missiles at Taiwan? How do we know that it isn't in the best interests of the Taiwanese to purchase patriots from the US to defend themselves from a possible missile attack?

(Now you've gone and done it. You've actually made me stand up for US foreign policy - how did that happen? )

they are just jealous of aussies ren, don worry bout it

I will say one more thing that if you haven;t travelled and experienced first hand what the world truly is like outside your safe daily lives in the western world then you need to do so becasue it will change forever how you think about this world. My views on this world are immensely different than they were 2 years ago..before I travelled and saw first hand what is really going on in the world and how most people think besides america

You know, you're right. I've always tried to hide my love for the GOP under a facade of low-key hostility, but it's only since the wonderful John Ashcroft and some large men from the DOJ showed up at my door and whisked me away for some "re-programming" that I've realised the error of my ways. Now I have an uncontrollable urge to whistle pieces composed by John Philip Sousa and paint pictures of George Bush shaking hands with Jesus.

I LOVE BIG BR.... er.... GEORGE BUSH.

I really really want to comment on this, but as stated by my opponent, another GOP far-right high powered conservative who's 2nd in command (how's that for blatant hints?), I really don't know where to start.

As much as I disagree with this Admin's policies, and as much as I'd like to agree with your sweeping generalizations on American attitudes and corporate globalization mentality, I cannot really agree with your prejudices on Americans in general. As my opponent, Dick Cheney, has so rightously set me straight in another thread, the idea of corporate capitalism is not about politics, but the almighty dollar (or whatever your given country's currency). In truth, most countries, including your own, give many corporations the nod to do as they will at the expense of the common good (that's a real sweeping generalization, but bare with me). The fact that American corporations may likely be leading the charge does not, in any way, take away the lack of ethics and morality of other countries' corporations to run amok. I suspect Canada has it's fare share in this aspect.

Much more could be said. Much much more. But I've got cuts on my fingers, and it hurts like hell to type (boo f$cking hoo for me). So I'll wait until my little boo boos heal.

Actually, I was more so referencing the US should stay out of Taiwan's business part. That's somewhat analagous to the US should mind its own business when it comes to S. Korea. Both states would probably have their "own" business to mind for approximately the same amount of time it takes for me to drink a beer ... I'll be generous and say a pint of beer.

Damn I mean really what the fuck???? I mean it's funny cause in this section all I mostly read about is debates about the US. Why can't you just admist your country sucks! It's a breading ground for assholes. You sit here and critize your country but when someone else from another country does it..watch out.. I know it's natural to defend your country but admist you have a lot of problems that have to be changed. It's not just the governent either. It's tha attitude of the people. There is a reason there are sweeping generalizations because the it's the way the majority of you act. That is a problem. When you come to our country or when I have travelled through the US ..it's there and you don;t realize it. So -don;t sit there and try and make a case with your usless political information that means nothing. I said from the start that no country was perfect. Ofcoarse you can always make a case for anything. But in the US , a country so welathy ...you have the biggest gap in the poor and the rich and you do nothing about it. Tthere is corporate greed everywhere but not like in your country. It's sickening. Do you see all over the news every few months of another company being investigated for corruption? Or companies like Enron Etc....No because goverments in ohter countries do not infact let companies run amokquite like they do in the US. The US prompotes corporate greed ! Promoates lettting the rich get icher while the poor suffer. I mean you don;t even have a decent health care system but you have a huge military. I agree with you there ....I'd be scared to reduce the size of my military becasue goodness knows how many countries in the world wanna piece of you. Canada doesn't have companies acting like they do in the US and our politicans aren;t rich from the riligous and powerful lobby grous you have in the US . We have spending limits on our elections. I mean 83 million raised for an election for one person. >??? That's just stupid! plain and simple..You have more companies that anyone else companies that go into other countries and have for the most part little or no benifit for that country exceot to make your $$$$$. I mean I can keep going on and on and my fingers don;t hurt and I will but I have to go to work soon. I would tell you Americans to do something about it but what can you do...the rich control and decide who gets elected in the US. So what are you going to do about it nothing. You are so proud of country? I can still travel around the world with the canadian flag on my back? Can you do that? You wanna know the surprising thing> ?? I had some friends just get back from Iran and the middle east telling me that that actually most of the people there except fot the government envy the US because the government is so surpessive that they will believe anything that is the opposite of what the government tells them. Until some of them are lucky enough to get out of the country and find their way to the US and realize that the american dream is all a sham! And that they end up being worse off in the US becasue there is no land of oppurtunity. Do you wanna know what it really comes down to this that I believe in....when you have it better than someone else you should do good or help your fellow human out. I'm proud that we have that sense of understanding in Canada. There is a reason why Canada is not is not picked on....actually the only country who seems to like to pick on us is America? and the idiot us ambassodor Paul Ceculli ...who likes to open his mouth and talk shit while no one is actually listening, empty threats because we didn't wanna join the war in Iraq. But ofcoarse when the US needed money and support for Iraq he comes back saying that we're good friends and that is all behind us now.....Stay out of our business. Our goverment is doing alot better than yours!

It is called the game of politics, and it is a very dirty game sometimes.
It seems to me that u are very upset with America in general, but I cant really see if u have problems with American people or the their government or both?? I personally DONT like the American Foriegn policies, infacet I hate it,and believe me there are alot more people who feel the same, and the number is rising.
Iam also Canadian(born in Iran ) and I must say that we have great country, and Iam glad that I live here, but Idont see the point of u comparing Canada and U.S,I mean they are totally different countries, just happend to be neighbors.
and about ur comment about psople in Iran wanting to go and live in the U.S and then regreting it,it is true,I mean people who live in Iran are so desprate to get out,and I dont blame them, and god knows why they think U.S is their saviour to end the current regime, but not all of them agree on this ofcourse, for their own sake I hope the U.S wont get involve if there is going be another revolution.

You should organize your thoughts and put them in paragraphs to make it easier to read. Its really difficult to follow the text in the manner presented.

Some countries did not support the US invasion of Iraq, this is true, but these countries are still allies (friends) of the US and you must acknowledge that BECAUSE of the US, many many people in this world are able to sleep at night, to feel safe. I believe that the reason Taiwan is NOT a part of China today is because of the mere existance of the US as a super power.

Of course, Bush and the current administration are not popular throughout the world. They have exhibited a blatent disregard for the global community and for the "little" people of their own country.

However, the Americans will have an opportunity to vote again shortly. Hopefully, more than 40-50% of registered voters, more than 30 - 40% of eligible voters, will actually get out and vote. That could make a difference in the next administration.

USA is not perfect. However, it is a far better place than most other places which is why people want to come here. In the USA, anyone has an opportunity to better himself. In a large portion of the world there are huge groups of children who will never have opportunities. Maybe, Canada is better. I won't argue. I wouldn't know. I just know that USA is better than a lot of other places. If you know what I mean. Denmark is probably the best place but we won't go there.
