I really really want to comment on this, but as stated by my opponent, another GOP far-right high powered conservative who's 2nd in command (how's that for blatant hints?), I really don't know where to start.
As much as I disagree with this Admin's policies, and as much as I'd like to agree with your sweeping generalizations on American attitudes and corporate globalization mentality, I cannot really agree with your prejudices on Americans in general. As my opponent, Dick Cheney, has so rightously set me straight in another thread, the idea of corporate capitalism is not about politics, but the almighty dollar (or whatever your given country's currency). In truth, most countries, including your own, give many corporations the nod to do as they will at the expense of the common good (that's a real sweeping generalization, but bare with me). The fact that American corporations may likely be leading the charge does not, in any way, take away the lack of ethics and morality of other countries' corporations to run amok. I suspect Canada has it's fare share in this aspect.
Much more could be said. Much much more. But I've got cuts on my fingers, and it hurts like hell to type (boo f$cking hoo for me). So I'll wait until my little boo boos heal.
