i'm just wondering where the mere mortal can possibly get hold of one?

Exactly....I just order them off Dancegrooves if i really have to. There's also Dr Disc in London, in all its unorganised glory.
But the point is...Release Records is supposed to be the leading EDM outlet in Ontario..."the place to go for records" so to speak. To have 7 records in the trance section is pretty ridiculous. If any of you guys are ever in London, check it out and I think you'll agree with me that the guys in there and the store, overall, isn't worth your time.
London is not a trance city. It's techno and progressive. (a lot of this stems from the success of Greg Benz and John acquaviva, both London natives, and also the close proximity of London to Detroit)
Release buys what they can sell, and when I was buying records there they were always busy and always selling out. Their formula is obviously working.

obviously working? It's hardly ever open, its location is a goddamn hole in the wall and they have stoner idiots working in it who have no idea how to serve people. Give it a year or two and it'll be gone.

It's obviously working because they're still open.
that's not a new store. They sell records, you can't deny that just because they don't carry every last Tiesto release and remix!
I always found the guys in there to be extremely helpful, and if I begged enough they would even let me have the special ones that they set aside for themselves.

u mean the one in london or the the one on Yonge?
the Yonge store is probably my fav record store in Toronto. But then again there are only 3 records stores that i know of that carries trance or u can order trance from.

I love the set up in the Toronto store, but there isn't a lot to be had there. They don't carry a lot of inventory, so if you're hoping to find older stuff or forgotten gems, you HAVE to go to play de.
play de is the BOMB for techno, I love it! And it's cheaper than release too. Release is expeeeeeensive.
