Yes you can record streaming audio with this nifty little piece os software called Total recorder, get a copy of it on Kazaa or Morpheus to avoid the 30 second limitation. Total lets you bump up the quality of recording too, which is tyte for low-fi sets recorded at clubs.
It sets up it's own buffer driver so all sounds are put through the Total Recorder driver before they go to your soundcard. I haven't noticed any latency or lag resulted from it, either on my old beat up amd k-6 or the new sys I have.
