Evil1 Oakie got me into this trance thing!

Until about two years ago at Club Space in Downtown Miami I was skeptical to the hole techno scene. Oakenfold is what truly brought me into this beautiful world that we call trance music. I saw him at Ultra and he blew my mind. Same thing at Club NV at Downtown Miami, suprisingly not that large of a turnout. The new album Bunka was a bit dissapointing except for track 5 which was pretty euphoric. By far the extraordinary was cd #2 of Great Wall. Talk about orgasm after orgasm, that's why I love this shit, so much better than house, even though most people can't make the distinction. If he's on drugs more power to him! He's living his life and touching millions while at it.

sasha is reportedly a massive coke addict. Thought everyone knew that....

There is some very funny stories about him and his substance binges aswell. Can't really say if they're authentic but funny as hell nonetheless (passed out in a ditch anyone...?)

My favorite Sasha story.....

Sasha was spinning a set and took a break from being behind the decks to go out and join the crowd. Sasha stayed with the people for a while, and when the record ran out and the music stopped, our coked up DJ started yelling at and insulting the DJ..... until he realized that he was supposed to be behind the decks...

Not sure how true it is, because I don't remember where I read it.

I saw Oakie recently and he tore the place up, at the end of his final track, the now classic "Amoeba Assassin - Piledriver (Grayed Out Summer Mix)", we were all screaming for more. I think he's still got it in him, he just doesn't seem to care as much nowadays.

OMG, you got to hear this song live!!!! I'm jealous! Chooon! That's my 2nd favorite track of all time! Hopefully he'll drop that this Thanksgiving here in NY. Is it still considered Trancegiving?

Speaking of Oakey.. There is this question I've had on my mind for ages and never have i found anyone who could answer it.

GU 007...Track 6 (Cyclone Tracy - Balla Con Ritmo)

Can anyone translate those lyrics. This has plagued me for ages. Translating the title is as far as I've Gotten

Check out his Homelands 2003 set. It was a small taste of his older sound. He can spin it if he wants to.
