armin and lawler didnt seem to have a problem playing in toronto at the time and that was 3 days b4 paul was supposed to play ... i agree that talking bout pauls no show should b dead and buried but i think its an example of wat seperates the men from the boys ..armin's the man

paul van dyk is a fucking pussy. The more time goes on the more i hate him. Especially after this year. first he bitches out of the montreal performance and throws a fit when a cd skips and blames it on jfl's equipment. (and i mean literally flip out.. he was jumping up and down like a fucking rabit) then he pussies out of the toronto gig. And i find all his causes really phony. Tells people how much he cares for world peace and harmony and liberalism blah blah blah but charges 40 000 a show for over a hundred shows a year. How much of that does he really give up anyway for all his supposed causes? Does he ever play small crowds or concerts, intimate shows for small cities and clubs that cant afford him? Never.. he plays at cocain supermarkets like exit in new york when he whines on and on about drugs in the scene. You really care paul? put your money where your mouth is. Look, im a business student i dont mind you making money doing what you love, but if you are going to open your mouth and fuss about a cause then DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
I didnt even really mind him after the show this spring, but the more i think about it the more im pissed at spending $50 to watch a half assed performance. I could have watched slam ball at home for free.
oh and his productions suck ass too now. really really boring shit and it has been for two years now.
my opinion. feel free to flame me.
Tiesto may be a bad technical dj. But at least he has a good time whenever he plays.

I'm not gonna bitch out a top 100 list with every little detail that doesn't properly represent my taste.
My top 10, in no particular order:
Armin van Buuren
Darren Emerson
BT
Matt Hardwick
Dumonde
Edgar V
Orkidea
Mark Oliver
Misja Helsloot
Markus Schulz
Fatboy Slim following closely at 11. You have never heard this guy spin. It's crazy. Fatboy Slim is pure fucking talent.
As for PvD and Tiesto... I don't have as much respect for either of them anymore. Tiesto's productions have become increasingly weak... but he's still a decent DJ. I think Tiesto could be doing more for the scene, tho. Same for PvD. His productions have been on the brink of crap... except Crush was saved by Second Sun. And I don't think he does enough for the scene from a DJ point of view (see discojoe's statement)
But I don't give a fuck. That's my opinion, but I don't go around flaming Tiesto and PvD left right and centre.
