bill gates is not trying to make the xbox a pc like console. microsoft is discouraging anything that might make ppl believe the xbox is a mini pc. the harddrive is in no way used like in a pc. games are not installed. there will be no patching. a mouse and keyboard might not even be released for it for they are afraid it will add to ppl believe its just a pc. its gonna run a stripdowned windows 2000 yes but you will never see any windows logo screen, there wont be any loading. itll be just like dreamcast or psx. stick the game in and itll start. just bcuz it uses a pentium and a nvidia graphics chip everyone think its a pc? well the ps2 uses a processor too and also a graphics chip but its not made by any computer companies. its the same thing but just because of the name of the manufacturers its being labeled a computer.
