that was the worst live coverage in the face of TranceAdict history. Never gonna listen to Galaxy ever again..

Didn't go to NEC, but a certain OS/2 sitting behind me on the ride up did.

Hopefully he'll post a small review.

Well seeing as how OS is still probably recovering from the weekend, I'll do a quick review. Lots of good music and just great being at one of these big events that are pretty much non-existant in the tee dot. So cool to see everyone all dressed up and into the whole night. As for the production itself, I was a slight bit disappointed that they skimped on some of that. Summer Sound System was definitely way better put together. Sound and lights could have been better. The DJs were hard to see except for PVD near the start but then they turned down the lights so that it was hard to see. Thankfully they had them on when they did As The Rush Comes live which was actually quite good - not to mention the girl singing it was quite good looking.

Good turnout though I wouldn't say 15,000 as they projected but rather somewhere around 8,000 which is still quite the massive! Lineups outside were a bit crazy and disorganized but managed to get in with some creative line weaving. All in all had a good time and got to see all my fav DJs in one night. As for tracks, PVD played similar to his TO gig, Armin played some of the newer stuff he's been playing on ASOT (Fallen remix etc.) Ferry played Punk, Rock your body, Tiesto delved into some older stuff but still good - also played Street Spyrits remix.

Met tons of cool people and the vibe was great. Lots of good looking girls. Will try and get some pics up.

Trigger in the UK

just got back today and i have to say gatecrasher@nec was an experience im not going to forget soon .... and i dont mean music wise cuz ive been to many parties where the music has been better but just the entire atmosphere of the event was mind blowing ... ppl were dressed in all sorts of costume ... girls in their lingerie : ... guys in girls lingerie (dunno wtf was up with that but was funny) and the ppl in the uk r surprisingly really friendly met tons of ppl from all over the world ... the sets were ok except for pvd who i thought was a disappointment .. hes been playing way to many breakbeat numbers for my liking ... i missed g&d cuz it took more than 3 hours to get into the main arena ... i got to the club around 10:15 got in by 12:30 but could only enter the crasher arena at 1:15 since there was a cue to get into that as well ... but at the end of the day it was well fukin worth it ... if ne of u guys get a chance to visit the UK go for it(just the fact that u can walk around the streets and ride on buses with alcohol in your hands and not get arrested for it is reason enough) .. thats all from here .. cheers

What a weekend - hectic but fun to say the least. I figured I had to hit one big UK party before they were gone and this past weekend was it. The music was phenominal all night BUT I also went to get some ideas for WEMF and wasn't able to take away much. Sound and lights were good - but not blow you away amazing and POOR line control and entry procedures - there must have been 5000 people lined up when we arrived and only a handfull of searchers. People were lined up for hours and the event only ran 9pm-6am. There was very few if any security doing outdoor line control and no barriers to create proper lines - people (like myself) just walked up to the front of some of the lines. If I was a regular punter I would have been PISSED! That was really the only low point of the EVENT - the only other was a SEVERE lack of cabs at the end. Likely needed by 100's if not 1000's there was a car about every 30 secs.!!

Overall a 8/10 (9 if they had better entry organization)
