OMG HI HI HI!

What a whirlwind last night! And to think Bubblegirl and I almost decided not to go... what a crime THAT would have been to miss all that great music and all those great people! (MattVagrant, charmscars, TorontoBarFly, Cono_sur, and of course Pixiechick!) You guys so totally rock, dude! We thought we would just hang for a bit, because we were both DEAD tired.. so we thought maybe 2:00 we'd cut out... yeah... we REALLY missed curfew! Stayed for ALL of Lawlers set.

Fantastic, I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with his essential mix, but he blew me away last night! Great tunes, good BASS! awesome build-ups... Greets to everyone who made it out who I didn't get to meet! Maybe next event!

We need to have some sort of TA identification... maybe a tattoo on the forehead or something... I feel like a knob sometimes asking everyone who I meet if they are a TA! but anyways, awesome night.. I brought my digital camera, but only wound up taking 3 pics! I hope someone else did, and please put the link up!

Out.

Confused

..can't hide it.. I won't deny it, I'm addicted to drums and I'm a slave to the dark beat..
alright.. I'll review it.. the hell with it..
after getting through on a free guestlist, thanx to John, and getting raped by the security search patrol (hey! ).. got in to an abnormaly scarcely-filled main room (..and for hope that the crowd would actually remain that nicely scattered).. the beats were fine, was impatient waiting for lawler (should have snatched the record case, ha?).. he came on, I got restless, was fidgeting a lot, scanned the crowd, found cono-sur roamed around a bit more.. ran into fantom (can I still call you that? ).. the music was great.. caught Jeff warming the floor, joined him in time for Dark Beat.. tried to get into the vibe.. but the crowd was frustrating (or maybe I forgot what it's like.. last time I was in the guv was in May).. anyways still nice rhythm, good tunes yeah yeah, but something was missing.. where was the party.. so I split

still feel sorry for the dude they wouldn't let in at the end of the night, all he wanted to do was dance!! lol

It was a wicked mix what ever it was, and Swamper it was a mix of Blue Monday he dropped about 2 hours into his set.

Hands down the best night (Music Wise) of 2003.
I knew Lawler would bring it proper on Saturday and he did not dissapoint!
The party was crazy, everybody was right into it. A lot of tracks from his E-mix and Lights Out 2 including: Dark Kiss (Tara this is the song you mentioned in your review), Beginning To Believe (Sandy Rivera Mix), and Richard Grey Presents King Master - 'Drummer Madness. Such a wicked night of music!
We ventured up to The Drink where Manzone and Strong were laying down some wicked tracks till the morn.

Very easily could have been my favorite party of the year if the Guv crowd were a little easier to handle. What goes through these people's heads??

Next weekend will be a very good challenge! Pappa and Howells in the Kool Haus.

Always good to see my fav party couple Tara and Matt. Saw trancegeek for a minute and nice meeting Jeff (technoaddict) P.S. I'll dance you into the ground when we have room
Also saw Erica both nights but I am not sure she knows who I am so I shy off.
Anyways fun weekend, next two should be the same!

What???????? why????? I have a feeling I know who you are too, but I don't think I knew you were a TA.... Did we keep having the discussions about "Hey, long time no see, like less than 24 hours ago?" Doh, I hate that when that happens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk to me ShawZy!!!

*Edit: nope, wrong guy, I sit corrected!

Wow! I knew Lawler would be awesome, but I was amazed! I'm still sore from fist pumping and foot stomping!! TECHno addict, good to see ya (though you were NOT front and centre!), good times fucking the dancefloor for sure!
Finishing up the night/starting the day at the Zone was a must, and it just made the whole weekened better.
I can definitely say that it was one of the best nights ever!! WOOO!
