How would the virus stay dormant in Palmer over a period of months though? That's the only reason I can't see him having it.

Actually in this season they didn't really "describe" it but they talked about it, and explained it a little bit.

It wasn't Acid that got put on his hand...The Virus that Palmer was given in the last episode of season 2 on the show they call it the "Codella" (I definatly spelled it wrong, it's something like that though) Virus. This season they said that the Virus that's the threat is the same type of "Codella" Virus, but it's over 3x's as strong as the one infected on Palmer aprox. 3 years ago. So what I'm pretty much saying is the Virus that's feared to be realised now is the same "type" of Virus given to Palmer, but it's just been enhanced to be more deadly. (I think it's the 2nd or 3rd episode they briefly explain this)

Omegasox - Yea your right, it would make no sence at all if Palmer had the Virus because he was suppoadly "cured" but you notice he still takes some sort of medicine for it...The only way I see Palmer being infected is if they make something up like "the cure was only temperary, and he suddently get's sick again over 3 years later. Haha, that would be wack, I hope something like that doesn't happen

Or the pills that he's taking at the moment are keeping the cirus dormant? And once he stops taking them...3-4 hours later the virus "turns on" and all hell breaks loose.

As for Jack dying or not; I wouldn't be surprised. I actually like this Chase character and wouldn't mind having him as the lead if Jack dyed.

I'm really curious, if Jack doesn't die, how they're going to bring him back into "normality" so to speak. His heroine addiction has been blown, and now he broke out Salzar. He can't just come back to CTU without getting his ass in jail.

Oh, and I think Palmer will lose this Presidential race.

i love this show, too. i remember in the first show at the beginning that pres. palmer was like going to his limo and then it looked like he was shot/went down....not sure if i understood this cause i thought it then flashed to like some other time. was this when he first had that other virus and he just collapsed? sometimes though, i think this season is kinda cheesey, espcially the first episode. but, yeah, great show either way. i gotta get the first 2 seasons on DVD...
