Sounds nice!

I think the moral of this story is that Armin's lead is not that difficult to re-create =P

One thing I'd like to know specifically, is if you're using the SAME instrument as the lead sound, only dropped down an octave or two, or theres a different kind of pad/sound that typically goes better as this, "bass pad".

I consider my-self to be a pretty good with sounds. I would like to give it a shot. Would one of you tell me how to play the melody or send me the midi file for the melody. I will then post the mp3 with the sounds I have made.
If you wanna email them to me its. [email protected] or you could just tell me the chords.

Anyone that considers themselves an "expert on sounds" should be able to read a few notes =P

Cool

my effort, made in VAZ2001, i did it with the KC too and actually prefer this sound, sounds more Rank 1 than Armin i would say, forgot to compress the pads tho, no worry

as the bandwagon comes

tbh, the synth patch i made is nothing special, its just a couple of detuned saws with a long attack, decay, sustain + sustain. one has a short attack, and the other is long i should say

the rest is just careful eqing, with a relatively slow flange and some mild reverb. the best filter in vaz is the top one from the bottom section, the rest of them have trouble finding the frequencies u want em to.
