How about i rephrase that: Do what you wish, but make sure you do something that will enable you to live a comfortable life and not have to worry about money issues.

I don't see it as immature and wrong, i see it as logical and practical. Although i may sound like a capitalist, i do think that its important to do what you love. Thats the reason why you usually have weekends off and work an ~8 hour day.

we have different views of "comfortable life"

for you, comfortable life = money. for me it's something else.

working my ass off in a 10x10x10 ft cubicle 40-60 hours a week is not really comfortable...

Wow you work in a 10x10x10 foot cubicle? Thats more like an office isnt it?

I guess our difference in opinion reminds me of the movie "The Family Man" and does support your side. See it if you havent seen it, i thought it was a good movie, as it has a great underlying message.
