when gielen sampled igor s - boomerang in that one video at club vida or somethin (i don't quite remember the name of it) it was amazing, and the crowd went wild too. but the track itself is pretty boring

i'd have to agree with Scott Bond vs. Solarstone - 3rd Earth, amazing as hell track

It's all about hearing it live boys and girls

Oh, and another mention goes to Rewinders - Pacific Dance. They just don't make em as hypnotic and entrancing as that anymore.

Michael Splint Presents Eruption - I Feel Free (Dj Choose & Fs That Mucho Instrumental)

So dark and powerful

Also, Mauro Picotto - New Time New Place is wank but a different type of tech trance/computer game music hybrid

Yeah? Did you ever listen to techno?

It has nothing to do with techno, Tiesto has nothing to do with techno.

original? regardless of sampling, it doesn't follow the formula or the norms of dutch trance.

that is all.

playing with the release button is one of the most generic things that exist. for a tiesto track it may be original, but in general most definitely not.

i'd even classify this track as plain dance.

Hmmmm...

Interesting Thread

I'm not sure when these tracks came out, but anything by Tsykhra, and Way Out West - Muthafucka seemed to be not your typical run of the mill trance

And alot of tracks that fery corsten came out with this year were different, Right of Way, Rock Your Body Rock, Punk (I think that was this year, 2002 maybe?)

Traffic is definately another good mention, along with Marco V - Godd and Del C:\*.mp3

I would also say Armin Van Buuren's Sunburn and Ferry's Indigo would be another two tracks that had innovative melodies.

Thats all I can think of right now.

Traffic is original for its layering and minimalism within the dutch trance structure, not for the use of release. If this is eurodance, it's the most complex eurodance track ever. But since it's not, it's just unconventional and original trance.

Ferry Corsten - Right Of Way

also Mauro Picotto - New Time New Place is strange but nice.

M.I.K.E - turn out the lights is also weird and nice.
