Your body loses nutrients when you drink, so eating a big breakfast like eggs and toast and everything (if you can manage to keep it down) helps. You also dehydrate so water helps as well.
It depends on what you drank too, some drinks you're going to have a hangover no matter what cuz of what they have in them.

I understood him as saying drink milk along with the alcohol, which would make sense with my explanation. Lower alcohol conc. in the blood at any given time than with without drinking milk, therefore less drunk.

well if you have red wine or some shitty crap beer youll get prostoglandin(sp?) produced in your body. prostoglandins cause the nasty headaches you get from wine, even if you didnt get shitty off of it.
if you arent drinking too excessively it can be beneficial to take one aspirin before bed as asprin neutralizes the prostoglandin enzyme. dont think it works with just any pain killer tho - and its not a good idea to binge drink and then take meds, but if its only a little it can make all the difference the next morning.
