no offence...these stories make him sound like he is a perfectionist and total nob....most stories i pay no attention to tho....he would fit right in with the stories of detroit techno deejays if they were true. |
These are just that... stories.
I saw Danny spin at Arc a number of times and never saw any of the things happen that people call him on.
Even if glowsticks were allowed at Arc, nobody would use them. The crowd at Arc is different to most other places... very in the know.

Because I don't want him to cancel, and therefore I closed it. Thank you for making a post on my behalf, but the moderators didn't censor it, I closed it. |
do you seriously think DT would cancel his gig over what a handful of people have to say about him on a TRANCE board?

Danny is kind of a hypocrite for not liking glowsticks. Anybody who has seen him go nuts with flashlights will know what I mean.

Cancelling a gig in a city because your own fans and people who would come out to see you play are talking about a possible event truly puts you in that special class of egotistical, head-up-the-ass DJ elite. Think about what that says about the relationship between DJ and fan. I'm not saying that's how he is but if its true that he does in fact cancel a gig here because of a rumour started on a trance board well then I think its easy to see how truly far gone he is. That applies to any DJ or performer who reacts negatively to a positive hype started about them. I mean hell, if he is playing than this is all good promotion. If not, big deal, who cares? I mean you look at a lot of DJs and they love having their gigs hyped! Personally I have no interest in seeing Tenaglia - he's not my thing but I know I would feel slighted if it was a DJ I liked who hadn't been here in a while say like PVD and then all of a sudden he cancels a gig because we hyped it before it was announced. I mean you have to expect that details leak before an event is officially announced - like it or not it happens so DJs and promoters just need to accept it and use it as a positive promotion.
