In 1984, Anita DeCastro was born in Brasilia, Brazil. Over the next decade Anita moved from country to country before finally settling in the United States to attend high school. At the age of 14, following her freshman year in high school, she moved to Biberach, Germany, where she studied the language and the culture. It was in Berlin where she attended the world famous Love Parade and got her first taste of electronica. She quickly returned to the US where she attended her first rave in Indianapolis, Indiana...once again enchanted by the pounding beats and flowing mixes of the music.
One year later, Anita purchased her first turntables and started teaching herself the art of beat-matching. Being the quick learner that she is, it came naturally and took only eight months for Scarab Records to invite her to their roster. Soon after, Anita played the Midwest Music Summit, and a few short months after that, she was picked up by the Breakline Crew and Wishing Well Productions.
Now, at the age of 18, the upcoming year places her at gigs in Miami for the Winter Music Conference, the World Electronic Music Festival in Toronto, and “massives” throughout the east coast and the southeast.
