It's so unfortunate that Mekka SF and the tour got cancelled, the bay area NEVER get's to see any really good euro dj's, and when we do we loose our venues and force them to play in our skanky-ass dance halls. I'm a huge Dj tiesto fan and now I can't see him because of this. 2 weeks ago we had area 51 dj's binary finary where supposed to spin but... no they didn't go on cause of how bunk the location was. Understandable. Be glad if you get to see talent where you live the local scene is great in SF but the only headliners we get to see are HOUSE. Fuck that I want some good trance it's time to move. Oh well once again the bay area has lost another chance of exposing euro-talent, and I get to go see mars & mystre again. Oh joy.... BLAH

You have to explain this.

Companies advertise these events when they have dont have dj's 100% booked. This causes events not to happen like Mecca.

She doesn't have any clue what's she's talkin about... Mekka knows it's their fault, they even admitted it, that they just started to work on this project too late, so that's why there were problems.

I couldn't believe it when a friend told me today that Mekka was cancelled. I've been looking forward to this for about a month now. Especially when I heard DJ Tiesto, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Dan, DJ Rap, De La Soul, Talib Kweli, and Common were going to be there. I mean, shit, DJ Tiesto is, in my opinion the 2nd best DJ in the world, only after PvD. The chances of actually seeing him again is next to none since most of the clubs up here in SF are 21 and over. I dont' think it was only the media's fault as someone's saying. It's also based on what the promoters themselves are saying: they didn't promote the show ahead of time enough (although for the SF show, I think there was more than enough). Anyway, I'm just really fucking disappointed. Late.
