amara - pulse has the most annoying outro. Its a good song, then there is like 2 and a half minutes of the same thing until the end.

The intro's and outro's of a track were specifically made for DJ's to use to mix. These parts were never intended to be heard by the audience. The longer the intro/outro the more or a "blend" style mix is needed..i.e. no quick 1 bar cuts to the next song.

I dont want to go into detail about the patterns and rationale of intros and outro but all you need to know is that it is designed for DJ's to use.

Please excuse me but when I read your question I just almaost fell off fell off my chiar w/ laugher

Vinyl mixes are made for DJ's.
They are made to be as "DJ Friendly" as possible.
I agree, to sit down and listen to a entire club mix is boring but they are not made for this purpose.
If you made club tracks that you cannot mix you will sell NO copies.
Try doing a mix with short radio edits, Hmmmmmm
It can also be argued that a good DJ can mix in/out in 16 beats..True, but not so good DJ's cant, they buy vinyl too.
Vinyl is starting to be replaced if favour quicker computer based products (Live i mean), this may put and end to long ins and out. Id be interested to hear what the pruists think of this topic. Personally i think if it makes the set better, cool.

I dont care what medium the songs on. I just have found that alot of trance songs I like come out first on vinyl. I stil spin Cds but until I find another medium that provides the same volume of music I still favor wax. Any I reallly like how wax sounds. IMO is has a more crisp feel.
