very nice remix of an excellent track m8...the main lead could indeed be enhanced somewhat but an amazing track just the same

my only comment to change: on future icone tunes, get a new crash and reverse cymbal, they have been the same since the very first icone productions

variance is good

This is beautiful- meets the original in terms of quality- you bring a different style to the table which is gorgeous in combination.

I adore that lead that starts at around 40ish- then it comes back when the melody kicks in with the kicks- perfect. Couldn't have added anything more---that lead rocks this track with the melody.

Only gripe is that the mix is too shiney. too much hifreq boosted in the mastering, and more low should have been emphasised instead. Super easy fix- otherwise incredible.

Hey!

I have been following this song from the original and all the remixes. I must say yours comes out on top. High, High, very High production quality; I am pumping it right now on my friends huge system - it sounds sickly!! Also, I love the take on the melody. Something new and something fresh. It is in my opinion, that a simple melody like that, over and over, with a changing bassline and further underlying melody can make for a sick, emotional rollercoaster. (Other songs that resemble this kind of technique would be Re:Locate's "Waterfall"). I like very much. Definite top two of the remixes, obviously IMO.
As I have stated before I hope Echano is trying to get his work released. As it deserves it!

PS: Thanks for stealing my idea of the rainfall! I was in the process of doing that for my remix.

Oooo shit this sounds very nice mate!!

I was doubtful that it will come close to the quality of the Original but you surpassed that thought, this is quality all the way. Love the use of the piano more than Martyn done in the Original and love the lead alot.

Top work

Cheers,
Mehran

Hey thanks guys, those kind words mean alot to me.

I know it's hard to make a good remix of an already excellent tune. Then again, I don't really want to argue whether it's better or not. Credits to Martyn for creating the awesome original

I always wanted to say that. But on the other hand it is an easy way to tell it's an Icone track. Maybe vary your crash patterns too, because that double crash, and the pattern with 4 crashes tend to appear in most of your productions.

Onto the track itself - love it. I can't criticise the sound in the slightest, as everything seems to be fitting in well. I like what you have done with the melody and those short breakbeat sections work really well. Fantastic.

Nothing bad to say.

Cheers for the comment mate.

I try to vary with crash patterns as werll as the samples itself. I have about 20, which can also serve as reversed crashes when simply 'reversed'. I dunno, but most of them already sound alike... It's not really my main focus when I build a track
