his energy on the floor is bar none and it was him who got me into the whole after party the next morning thing.
alot of people cant imagine or dont want to imagine their parents in the scene and thats fine.
For me personally, partying it up for the last 2 years with Dad has brought some of the most fulfilling moments of my life and has made our relationship all the more special to me.

i was just waiting till this discussion takes a direction towards parents and afterhour parties:
i won't tell u what my parents think cuz my parents are typical traditional parents. We all know how they are like. I really would love it if dad came to a party with an open mind. In my culture, dancing, drinking and drugs are looked upon as a very wrong thing. Only because of the strict muslim regime that has been reigning in this part of the world, specially Egypt. Ancient egytians had partying in their culture and well... ancients made beer so i'm sure they drank .
My parents think clubbing or 'raving' involves drinking, dancing and excessive use of drugs. Given i come home smelling like a chimny, i guess it gives them a reason to worry. Smooking is another thing and i'm sorry to bring this up but it's the dilema that i face every time i go out to a club... i won't get into that cuz i don't want the shit disturbers (we all know WHO) come on and tell me cigerette smoke is safter than the fog machines.
I dunno about my parents, but with my children, i'm gonna allow them more freedom to go out to clubs given raising them up properly with good moral beliefs. Heck, i might as well drive em down and party with the 'old' ones

I don't think parents should be partying all night - whether that be with excess alchohol or any amount of illicit drugs.
It's one thing to take a harm-reduction standpoint with your children (ie, "if you chose to use, do so in moderation, etc.") but it is quite another to be doing it yourself as a parent. Even if parents follow harm-reduction principles, children often misinterpret these actions as the go-ahead to do as they please without consequences. Remember, actions speak louder than words...ESPECIALLY when you're talking about children.
My parents would never do such a thing, but they also didn't talk to me about drugs, which meant I learned the hard way what moderation was all about. I wish they had given me a heads up, but growing up in rural nova scotia, I'm sure they didn't think I'd be out at superclubs partying like a rockstar til dawn, either.
Personally, I plan on educating my children about the risks, but I don't plan on using drugs of any kind once I become a mother.
People should get that shit out of their system before taking on the responsibility of parenting and acting as a role model.

There is no moral prohibition on drug use; the prohibition is on sending your life into imbalance.
