For the Canadians involved
Bloc = Non Runners (even in Quebec, I thought the last provincial election showed the sentiment there)
NDP = One of the reasons that most provinces are in debt (yes your fault Bob Rae) and who can forget the prime cheater of them all, Brian Mulroney. A man who decided to keep spending and spending and then Chretien came in and when Canada was near the verge of becoming like Argentina, defaulting on the loans. Chretien had no choice to cut spending, people like to think the gov't can spend all it wants. So then Mulroney hides all the kickbacks from the Airbus scandal, the RCMP are lying because he was guilty of this, just they never proved it. So Mulroney then trashes Chretien on ethics and calling him a bad pm, look Chretien is an idiot and probably gave money to firms to get re-elected, which is wrong but he did balance the books and put Canada back in decent financial shape. So their new leader Jack Layton thinks they are a decent alternative, which everyone realizes they have no clue). Also got under 30 seats in 2 elections, get the hint people NDP IS DEAD!.
Conservatives = two parties with different ideas but same policy come together. They have some good ideas but the party is too confused to really make a run.
and who does that leave
the liberals under Paul Martin. I think Paul Martin is better than Chretien and I would trust him more (not much cuz who trusts politicians). You have to win Ontario and I don't see that happening with the other parties.
what's the result
Paul Martin calls election and gets elected for 5 years with a majority government. He hauls the crooks in for the fiasco and gets even with Chretien by trashing him with this problem because Chretien knew about it and did nothing.
hence nothing changes
end of story.
