i usually tell myself that i'd never even try it. but sometimes, i'm just curious to see what it'll be like to be on ecstasy.
a lot of my friends have done it. and from what i have heard from them, i kinda want to try it, but i also have heard a lot of bad side effects.
is it that bad to try it once for the first time just to see what it's like? or is really worth it? if i try once, will i be addicted? |
I can honestly tell you that if you try one time, you'll only be addicted if you want to. Ecstasy is even less addictive than marijuana.
The first time you'll try it, you will find it pretty innofensive. In fact, you'll find it so innofensive, you'll be inclined to try a few more.
I can't really say that trying ecstasy is a good thing - unfortunately, i have an extensive experience with ecstasy.
The ecstasy rush is exactly that: a rush. You feel your body, from the feet to the hand fingers, rushing in energy, energy condensed and ready to blow. You feel pretty much like superman in the first few times. Perhaps the most incredible aspect of ecstasy is not that rush or energy you feel, but rather the increment of your feelings.
Everything you feel will be amplified. So if you are in love for someone, you will feel that love 5x. If you are friends with someone, you will almost love that person.
You will experience an added sensibility to the music, everything will revolve around the music (this if you try it in a party or club). The music will feel better, and you will almost guess what's happening before it happens.
The reverse of the coin is the day after and the long term consequences of chronic use.
The day after is a rather unpleaseant experience. There are only 2 things to do: either smoke pot all day to keep awake (yes, it's the ONLY way you can keep awake - besides taking more ecstasy) or sleep for 12+ hours straight. I personally tend to prefer the second option, as it's much more healthy, but most people tend to go for the first.
The long term consequence is the loss of memory. After my chronic abuse, and even now (after 2 years) i feel the effects of memory loss. You tend to forget things quicker and have memory lapses - the same thing when you're high - but permanently (for those who don't know, when you're high on marijuana, you have memory lapses).
So is it worth it? Well, i can tell you i still take ecstasy, although only twice a year. I think taking it twice a year is perfectly safe, with no long term effects.
It's a very good recreational drug, in fact, for me is even better than coke (which is usually considered the king of recreational drugs). The thing which fucked me up was the abuse of the drug, taking it chronically for years.
Keep in mind it's a very dangerous drug, so treat it with respect.
Here's a fact sheet
Good things when you're high
-amplified emotions
-connection with music and people
-never-ending energy
-you're always calm and relaxed
Bad things when you're high
-increment of heat in your body
-loss of vision (you can't read!)
-dry mouth
-dizzyness
-teeth clenching (not sure this is the right expression, i meant teeth rubbing against each other)
BOTTOM LINE:
Read what i've written and decide for yourself. If you choose to try, MAKE SURE you don't have a weak heart or heart problems, be sure about that before trying.
