Even though NYC has a no smoking rule, DJs still smoke in the booth.. and I'm sure the promoters and the owners don't like it but what can you do?

NYC clubbers also smoke but don't flaunt it.. when its crowded, theres nothing the security people can do anyway.. I have yet to see anyone get thrown out for smoking.. when they catch you, they just tell you to put it out.

Sasha was a chimney on new year's eve @ avalon nyc and although I've never seen them personally smoking in the booth, I'm sure both Danny Howells and Sander K. both smoke in the booth when they spin at arc-nyc. I can't imagine Sander not having a smoke when he does his 8 hr sets.

Weird, Tiesto wasn't smoking when I saw him here last summer.

Yesterday I went @ my fav. local club and one of the Dj's was smoking weed!! while he was spinning.

I think it woulda been better to have a list of DJs who didn't smoke hehe and the only DJs I can think of in that category is PVD and Armin.

I was well shocked when I saw Ferry smoking when I first saw him live. Tiesto has never smoked at a set here, but I've seen him smoke before... I think he doesn't smoke as much as others. Gielen is bad, but Sander K is a chimney, but the all-time "cig-factory on fire" DJ has to be Jon the Dentist. I don't know how well known he is outside of North America even though he's a brit, but damn... he goes thru a couple packs easy in a 2 hr set. I smoke, but even I think that's sick.

We had a DJ competition at our students union last year, and the last DJ to enter should of won it on style alone. Beer in one hand, fag in the other, he was casually bopping up and down as he span his prog tunes. Proper class guy, although he didn't win it in the end.
