But people forget to relize is that Djing is not about being cool and play pure progressive tunes..and mixing well!!.... the most important aspect is that can they read the crowd well and know what tunes to play are the top djs in my mind... like Paul van dyk...he doesnt play just one type of trance... its all mixed progressive,epic,hard,techno...all together and he can read the crowd so well and that make me just go insane...i love it...when i saw Sasha & DIgweed they didnt do anything to me like Van dyk did!!...but people have different tastes so who cares right!! but if they do it for you then the better for you =).. still think S&D are boring loL!!

PSI why did u post on this old ass thread....look how old this is ..i posted that i didnt like S&D and i hated progressive...lol shows how my tastes have changed.........

I don't care for Sasha & Digweed's style either. I wouldn't waste my time/money on this Delta Tour. I think they come off a little arrogant in the press releases also. I understand they started this shit a long time ago, and Digweed gets musik months before any other DJ, but that doesn't mean he's God. They both are good at what they do, but it's just not my style of musik. I've seen S&D @Twilo a few years ago, and left very disappointed. Sasha's set seemed to stall out, never really crawled out of the hole he put himself into. You can say I don't understand the progressive sound, but I can listen to Lemon8 spin for hours. Who knows... I think hearing them live they are overrated. It really depends on your taste in musik, but don't go to hear them and expect to hear a Tiesto or Armin set. You''ll be sadly disappointed.

im not a big fan of sasha and digweed... but man, when i went to twilo one friday night two years ago.. they blew me away... they have that hard beat with a trancey feel ... kinda like mauro picotto... i dont know about u guys but when they lower all the bass after the build up and play the mids and treb very low and build it up and then when they release that hard beat... everyone cant help it but dance.... well, that was the case @ twilo NYC 2 years ago =)

secondly, about sasha and digweed...just cause you don't like, or better yet *understand*, what they spin, you can't go knocking the world's two best dj's. they don't pic out anthems cause that's not there style, instead they use realatively unkown tracks (especially cause alot of them are unreleased) and slowly build the intensity through the night, bringing the crowd to a peak without them even realizing it. and no one, i repeat no one, is a better mixer than either of those guys. end of story.

ohhh yeah, it's kind of hard to avoid that 'commercial' label when you are rated numbers one and three in the world respectively. pvd releases an album every six months, so does tiesto, i'd call that pretty damned commercial too. but does it make them bad dj's, i don't think so.

AMEN !!!!!
