that's refreshing, I'm sure they will end up living a better life than us because they don't listen to trance anymore

musical styles come and go, but rarely die. uplifting may be ebbing now, but given some time it will become more popular again.

uplifting trance seems to be a style which can draw in fans from other musical genres, more so than many kinds of electronica. it is for this reason that i doubt it will go away completely. maybe as trance bcomes more mainstream we will see a resurgence.

People like you will always be into something until it's no longer seen as cool to do so, and the scene doesn't need that. There are a lot of tracks worth hearing in many styles, techno, psy, epic trance, tech-trance etc, if you really dislike trance that much then fuck off to progaddict or breaksaddict or whichever one is the one you want to hump next. Trance will never die, the only thing dying is the support of people who don't really contribute to it in the first place, and that's a good thing cos it might get better again if everyone and their pet cat stopped trying to like it.

Word! It's the circle of EDM...tell everyone why ur so cool that u listen to the "less-popular" stuff...then it get's to be huge, and all the sudden it sucks now....isn't that what you wanted though? Didn't you start complaing to us why we should listen to your "ultra-cool" genre? And once we do, wouldn't it suck because it'll get popular?

I'll always love trance...sometimes it's harder to find the quality songs than at other times, but I will always find trance to love and trance to spin...whether it's ranked no.1 or no. 111111111111 it's always no.1 in my heart as well as those dedicated TA's out there. I respect other styles, and I really enjoy some techno and prog tracks...but not as much as trance. And I'm not going to start humpin the next genre simply cus it's more "underground"

trance is basically eurodance, all cheesy shit.

the finer elements of trance, few i must admit, have been taken out and survive in prog.
