We will once again see historical landmarks get destroyed, I heard about a scent in this movie where a tornado completely destroys the Hollywood sign and destroys the Tower Records building, Man, I cant want to see this movie, Sit in the theater and have this OMG! factor in my mind as I see all the destruction, This is going to be a great summer of 2004.

But as for a tsunami of that magnitude to hit NY.... that isnt very plausible. But the west coast is another story. The mid atlantic ridge is a divergent plate boundry.... (the plates just push away from each other as new crust is formed) but along the pacific ring of fire, much of that region is of the convergent plate boundry. One section of the crust pushes against another and falls beneath.

This picture shows much of the movement associated with different sections along our west coast. A tsunami is a sea wave of local or distant origin that results from large-scale seafloor displacements associated with large earthquakes, major submarine slides, or exploding volcanic islands.... all of which the atlantic ocean lacks

HA HA, california will finally perish!

/i mean, damn, that's sad

trailer looks nice, only wouldn't the huge tidal wave destroy the statue of liberty?

Haven't we moved beyond big-budget "disaster" movies yet people? The only thing that separates them from shitty straight-to-video B-movies is that somehow they scored the backing of a major studio that threw lots of $$$ into it. What a waste. It doesn't suprise me that a dolt like Bush is president when so many people continue to indulge in this kind of tripe.

would u be equally offended if this movie stated that there would be wildfires all over the united states and one of these "highlighted" burned cities was Waco, Texas?

I agree with you 100%

ITs just entertainment.... these movies make big money.. so they will always be made.
