the shooting apart.
there's at least 1 subway suicide a month.. this is a statistic back from 1990 and it happens a lot more in toronto. most of the time if there's a subway delay, someone took their life.

well you see thats the problem right there, they come out of jail within months by bail,so I think something should be done to our justice system.Chief Fantino wants at least 10 years in jail for all gun criminals ,but the government is saying no.
How's Toronto compared to other big Canadian centers or to the ones in states with about the same size??
I'm pretty sure Toronto is safer or maybe the safest from them all, its all about the media hype.
I remember not too long ago, a guy being executed on the street with a machete in a crowded street over here, it was horrible. The media was all over it for a couple of days. But do I feel less safe when walking alone downtown in the night?? not a chance.

actually I believe it's gang wars tbh and I believe some of the innocence shootings were gang mistakes tbh. We have always had this amount of crime but just the media has got a hold of it and turned it into worse than it is. I am not scared, even tho I do live 5 mins from the finch shooting. Toronto averages 60 murders a year (35 of them are usually gang vs. gang) and that's low for a city of 5.087 million. At least we don't have the Quebec biker turf wars, that lead to the deaths of many more. I do believe that something needs to be done and the laws have to be toughened so severely that it's not funny. I mean like that guy who shot that chinese guy who was in his house....shooting for no reason....i mean that deserves a good 20 yr stretch in the prison for that. Too many idiots imo and people have no respect for anyone then the gangs scare the heck out of the ppl who know what happened. It's sad and I am tired of seeing innocent people shot and killed for no reason. These people need to held heavily accountable for their actions.

I dunno. My opinion is that these things can't be stopped. Many people talk about lowering crime etc etc... but how do you do it? You cant. So by concentrating on the problem, nothing gets solved anyway. The whole.. Oohh there are so many misguided youth because the government doesnt fund after school programs. B.S. they pump bajillions into it. Crimes and violence cannot be stopped. And if you havent pissed anyone off, you're probably not going to be shot at.
