When somebody tells you a "factoid" that's completely ridiculous, does the idea not even cross your mind to check whether or not it's actually true? You're on the Internet, it would be SO damn easy to verify for yourself, and yet, most people can't be bothered to take 10 seconds of their precious time to do it.
