Why wont Israel just kick the Palestinians back to jordan then?

They are terrorizing Israel and using vandalism as well...

The Palestinians like the Kurds in Syria are claiming there is an occupation, you cant just say its all bullshit. Im sure there is some truth in their sayings.

Re: more to come...

ya DJ_Kreing, me and you see these attitudes adds oddly similar (to ones we hold), and oddly hypocritical (to ones they typically hold) in regards to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

Kurds in Syria right now look vividly similar to Palestinians in the territories ala 1970s.

You guys better bring in the tanks quick, if you dare leave them there for another 30 years the world will actually think they have 'legitimacy'

I agree

Oh wait you were talking about Kurds not Palestinians.. my bad

Because you formed a country out of the blue on palestinian land.

Syria was there with SYRIANS for centuries. Syrians are the Indigenous population of Syria, Palestinians are the Indigenous population of where Israel stands now....Not eastern Euro[ean/Russian Ashkanazi's that are infesting that land and claiming it as theirs becuase their ancestors lived there during biblical times

I knew it...I knew it...

Ok, i knew this was gonna be compared to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
But anyway, just a few things and then we'll close this topic and go back to Kurdish-Syrian conflict.

Cyrus King:

That's true. Syrians were always there, and the Kurds that are legal in Syria have no problem with being in Syria. Palestinians are doing what they're doing because the State of Israel was created like 50-60 years ago.
U have to be able to see the difference between these two issues. Because there is one! and it's crystal clear.
One other thing:
the 200,000 Kurds who do not have legal papers and legal Syrian rights in Syria, well, Syria accepting those Kurds in and let them stay in Syria because they were escaping Saddam's terror. Yet, it's those 200,000 kurds that have started somehow what has happened. Well, we let u in, but dont go around fuckin it!
Anyway, long long long topic, and once again: BIG difference between the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and Kurdish-Syrian conflict.

DJ_Kreing, do you have an idea about the Qamishly? a city in Northern Syria which is now seein more and more kurds everyday?
No offence but i dont think you know. Qamishly is where my parents came from. Back in the days, this small city was only inhabited by Christians and Muslims (around 50-50%). A few years later, Kurds started coming in because they were escaping or because this city lies within their "imaginary Kurdistan". Because they moved in so wildly, a lot of christians and muslims (especially Christians) escaped. Because a lot of Christians escaped and wanted to move their papers, formalities and all other gov't documents, the GOV'T refused to move their papers. Why? So that the Kurds dont fully occupy the city and call THEI OWN city. This is the case with my family and a lot of other chrisitian/muslim families. Qamishly before = Paradise. Qamishly now = Crap. Now to answer your question or statement: Do you, in any way, see this as an occupation? I see it more like a Kurdish occupation.

P.S: they claim Kurdistan to be part of Syria, Turkey and Iraq. Go to fkn Turkey and do ur shit there! Or go to Iraq since the country changed!

Anyway, let's go back to the Syrian-Kurdish conflict. The problems now reached my home city - Aleppo! so far, 36 kurds have been killed. a lot arrested and i hope the military comes in and doesnt let it stay a syrian vs kurds problem but a militay vs kurds thing!

Hehe, every thread gets compared ot Israel/Palestine. It's half the fun finding new way to compare mundane things to the conflict.. this case was much easier though

Again, its how you wish to read it. Palestinian Arabs that are legal in Israel have no problem with being in Syria. Jews were always in Israel. Kurds are doing what they are doing because the state of Syria was created like 60-70 years ago.

Kurds never had a nation. Palestinians never had a nation.
More Palestinians moved to Israel after the Jews arrived, more Kurds moved to Syria after it was a nation. More Palestinians came to Israel when they were being slaughtered in the neighboring countries such as Jordan and Lebanon.
More Kurds came to Syria after they were being slaughtered in the neighboring countries such as Iraq and Turkey.

Why should Israel have to suffer for the incapabilites of the Lebanese and Jordanian government?! The Palestinans should have stayed there.

quote:
U have to be able to see the difference between these two issues. Because there is one! and it's crystal clear.

Of course there is a difference between these two issues. But you have to be able to see the similarities between them. Because there are many, and they are crystal clear.

quote:

I'll admit there are difference, but not a very BIG difference. The only BIG difference I can see is the timeframe. The Palestinian claim is 'legitimate' because we've been hearing it for 30 years, the Kurdish claim isn't 'legit' because we've only been hearing it for the last 10.

quote:
DJ_Kreing, do you have an idea about the Qamishly?

Ever heard of Jericho?

quote:
Do you, in any way, see this as an occupation? I see it more like a Kurdish occupation.

I didn't see Israel as an occupier in the territories either back in the 70s. Didn't seem to stop the Palestinians from believing in one.

quote:

P.S: they claim Kurdistan to be part of Syria, Turkey and Iraq. Go to fkn Turkey and do ur shit there! Or go to Iraq since the country changed!

P.S. The Palestinians claim Palestine to be part of Israel, Jordan, and Egypt. Go back to Jordan and Lebanon!

Ok I'll stop
I hope this doesn't become a habit for me.. I really hate parroting.

quote:

Ok lets go back. Thats horrible. You realize (eck I'm doing it again!..) what I'd would be like if Israel would have killed 36 Palestinians? Global outcries! panic! and pandemonium! Masscare they would say!
If Israel were to kill hundreds as Syria is likely to have done, or do soon to the Kurds, nations around the world would be pressing quickly for stiff sanctions against Israel.

If you feel the way you do about this issue, just be happy the international community doesn't seem to give a shit in this case.

Excatly the philistines are dead! +90% of all historical societies are don't exist. The Egyptians under the pharoahs are NOT the same people, ethnically as the Arabs that live there today. The great Roman people who lived in Italy are not the Italians that live there today. The people in Iraq are not the ancient Babylonian people, and neither are the Persians the direct decendants of the great Persian Emprie.

People interbreed a lot, and ethnicities don't last long.
The more successful usually an Empire (such as Persia, Babylon, etc) the quikcer the interbreeding due to expansion and trade.

Judiasm is fairly is fairly ethnicially consistant when compared to other ethnicities. This is because one of its tenants of Judiasm is that you can not intermarriage, and since they have been persecuted for milenia, joining their sect wasn't a popular thing to do. Jews also, unlike most other world religions don't preach to convert non-Jew's to their ways of belief.

But saying this, we can say, they might as well all converted to Judiasm, not a soul converted to Islam. We can never know if this is fact or fiction, you can never prove me wrong in this case, just as I can't in your case. So lets not dwell into myths here.

Also, if I recall my bible correctly, the Philisitines were defeated by the Jews and were either slaughtered or disperesed away from the Kingdom of Israel after losing their wars.

So trying to connect a defeated enemy that disappeared 2700 years ago to a people obviously with no ethnic or religious connection to that people well, thats just plan silly.

And if you intend on parroting this post, let me spare you. The Jewish people have preserved their identity and culture for millenia, regarldless of any ethnic confusion one might want to attribute to them. The Jews have always been the Jews, although often defeated, they have always preserved their identitiy and often even when faced with death refused to give up that identity.

I never knew that talking about something that is happening was funny.

And the funnier thing is that our arguments are empty..lol...ok...

Anyway, kinda stupid to continue the talks about the Syrian - Kurdish conflict cuz some ppl just wanna compare the situation to the palestinian-israeli conflict. Whether it's similar or not, this wasnt the point...

Am funny and the arguments i made are empty...yay...if sayin this pleases u n lets u jump around in circles happily, then good 4 u, but hey, when a subject is opened, stick 2 it at least...

look were just shocked that the same people who are arguning in one very similar conflict a humanitarian, global, peaceful approach, are in the other conflict arguing a brutal, oppressive, adn violent approach.

This obviously comes to greater shock to us than the events in Syria, hence the thread mutated to that debate. Threads mutate all the time.

Regardless, what can I say.. I don't think Kurds do get equal treatment in Syria, and they have no political recourse to voice their complaints, they are left with little but violence as an avenue to try and effect change.

Just for curiosity sake, how many Syrian Ministers are Kurdish?
