Hey I know all about this shit.. about every year my computer crashes and I have to format my hard drive.. I hate when that happends.. so now I have a nice little CD burner.. and 82 mp3 cd's..

...that was the same problem i had when i rebooted during a move partition ...trying to remember all the damn tunes so u can d/l them again

that sucks about your laptop shockwave... but heres some advice

as long as the hard drive isnt fubar in your laptop just take it out, find someone with a compatible laptop (if you need help finding what is compatible just let me know) and then you can access them all again

my laptop works in DOS
and a friend of mine has an external zip drive and is going to help me out
this makes my life a whole lot better now
i'm not so worried anymore, this just gives me more space now, kinda like a format or something...
