wassup wassup!!! just got back from vegas which i went to straight after nocturnal. hey dannylove my cell was getting no reception out there. there were bars and stuff but i was getting nothing. my friends and i took five cars out there and it was impossible trying for all of us to meet up. we never found five of them and we lost one of them at the event. we just heard from him so at least we know he's okay. i did get trancefusion's call before i got to the event. he called me after the event and that was about it. i didn't get inside nocturnal til after 9pm cuz we arrived at 5:30pm parked by 6:15pm and got in at 9pm. definitely unorganized. i got in through the all-girls line and i'm the opposite gender. all of my friends were pissed. also it was way too commercialized with that carnival type atmosphere with the vendors and all. my friend and i didn't like that one bit. and the line-ups were all screwed. i was there when tiesto came on at 5am and i partied it up for awhile but my friends wanted to leave at 5:30 so i didn't get to hear his whole set. he was pretty tight though. i had fun getting off to bad boy bill's set and mars 2nd set cuz he had to cover for tiesto's late appearance. rabbit in the moon annoyed the hell out of me so i left to the moonshine tent for dave aude. then i kicked it watching over my cracked out friends (i'm a sober raver) cuz some of them took more than they should have so they were freakin out. everybody was fine in the end. getting there was horrible, dancing was fun, i met some cool peeps, and nobody got hurt (as far as i know). so it was a fun event. i don't know if it was worth it though. i just wish it was more organized. am i done rambling? i think so. i wish i could have met up with the TA's but i just couldn't get in in time so it got all screwed up. my apologies but i can't control everything. it wasn't the best party that i've been to but it wasn't the worst. a lot of my friends have sworn off massives forever after this event, but i'm sure i'll go again. i just can't help myself. so hopefully we'll get to meet up at some other party. just not a massive cuz who knows how they'll turn out. take care my fellow ravers and you'll be hearing from me again. congrats to plastike for the tiesto autograph!!!! tell me where you live!!!

alright, i was watching FOX 11 News tonight and I got the low down on the bad news of the rave.

1st off, they arrested 20 people for posession and or selling drugs. Thats the good news.

Bad News: there 4 deaths. One was a 36 year old who died of an overdose (idiot). 1 other kid died from a car accident, and two others from another car accident.

If i remembered correctly, those above statments are fact. I'll try and confirm this with an article, but whats really new? this is usually expected, thus allowing me to end my "raving" times.

KFWB Headline News

Three Deaths Linked to Rave in San Bernardino County
(KFWB) 9.03.01, 9:10a -- Three deaths are linked to an overnight rave at an Indian
reservation in eastern San Bernardino County. More than 20,000 people attended the
event billed as "Nocturnal Wonderland" on the Chemeheuvi Indian Reservation.

Authorities say one person died from a suspected overdose during the weekend rave.
Two others were killed in separate automobile accidents involving people who
authorities say had been at the rave. Dozens of people needed medical treatment and
at least 80 people were arrested. Most of the arrests involved the sale or possession of
Ecstasy tablets.

San Bernardino sheriff's asked leaders of the Chemeheuvi tribe to cancel the event,
citing safety issues. Officials were concerned about the rave taking place at a venue
away from town during a high activity period. Security was left in the hands of concert
promoters, even though the department tried to get tribal leaders to hire deputies to
provide security for the event, Sgt. Frank Gonzalez said.

At least 70 sheriff's deputies were brought in to break up the all night party. The event
took place on a mile-long landing strip and backed up traffic for miles in and around the
Lake Havasu area.

Hey DannyLove, I found this in then AP news pool. This is why I don't go to massives anymore. When it gets too commercial, then you see un-responsible people coming out to "have a good time".

Well, my facts weren't all that off.

QuickStep: totally see your point, and thats why that last "rave" will be my last. This whole crap is so commerical now, and its not about the music anymore, its all about getting e-tarded. stupid kids.

u guys attitude is so insane!! do u wanna know about how many people total died this weekend in alcohol related accidents.. i dont see u swearing off drinking.. and OMG there were soooooo many people dancing so many in fact that u couldnt get around some of the stages!! the disorginization was bullshit!! the cops were bullshit!! the lines were bullshit!! but a rave vibe is unbeatable.. everyone i was with and every one i spoke to that nite was incredible.. mars set covering for tiesto was off the hook!!! bad boy bill .... oh yeah!!! dope dope dope.. rabbit in the moon.. hmmm good but kinda strange.. dfuse??? john kelley??? i dunno who i was listening to. the schedules were fucked up but there was some nice beats coming from the stage before the trance room the early part of the nite. some great jungle and hip hop too though i didnt really want to walk all that far to hear it. who shut down the party at 6:30!! somebody should sue these people .. false advertising is a crime.. grant plant was bout to tear it up at 6:30 had a record on and they pulled the plug on him!!! maybe its just me but i had such a good time i refuse to dwell on the negative in life!!!

Hey, Eyes. I wasn't even there so I couldn't tell you how the party was. I was just getting an article for DannyLove to support his statement.

I don't like massives, they get too crazy and you lose the whole point of a rave. I still go to the parties here in Philly, but we took our scene a little more underground. We, as a scene, will go to larger events but try to keep our community close.

I love the scene and will never lose hope in it. But massives and commercialization of parties, don't allow us to orient new ravers like we used to. Rememeber when you went to your first party and people were there to help you and tell you everything about the scene. Now it's getting so big so fast and soo many people coming that we don't have the ability to teach the newbies, so they just learn the negatives of the scene (there's only a few).

sorry I'm just rambling on. I totally agree with you about alcohol deaths not getting viewed the same as drug deaths in the news.

hey eyes... i totally agree with you about the music. i didn't get in and situated until bad boy bill's set but he was freakin' awesome. and mars' set to cover tiesto's was pretty sweet as well. rabbit in the moon made me move to the moonshine stage but the beats were banging there as well. i had a great time when it came to music and dancing. but i don't think all the people were dancing. there were a lot of heads at the mainstage just standing there and not dancing. and damn, they pulled the plug on grant plant!!! that dude is tight! i did meet some cool peeps. a lot of them from santa monica. maybe you were one of them. that would be a trip. anyways, i think massives are a bit overhyped. i mean look at how many peeps already want to go to monster massive and i can't recall any really kick-ass dj's that are going to be there. we'll see. i'm with dannylove and being sick of all the peeps that go to events cuz they wanna drop. i don't mind the peeps that drop and go for the music. but the peeps that go to drop and just drop...that gets on my nerves. don't know why. i guess cuz there's just too many of them these days. but anyways, hope to see some of you at earthdance. it's in the middle of october and i'm gonna try to make it. it has electric skychurch, john kelley, donald glaude, and some other old skool peeps.

Absolute shit -- the only good thing was Tiesto -- played the exact set I wanted to hear. No Sandra Collins and she was all ready to play and she couldn't, boy was that crap. I was in line for like 2 and half hours. I'll tell ya this event was certainly disheartening. I read somewhere recently that european Dj's don't like playing at US massives. I certainly can see why. If you ever go to on of their massives like Homelands or something you would see why they say that. They are much more responsible and into the music not just rolling. Nocturnal will definately go down as the worst event of any sort I have ever been to.

Nocturnal sucked ass except for Tiesto. The worst part was that one black dj at the labyrinth stage who would spin and then attempt to breakdance. That guy really sucked. Tiesto was perfect. They should have recorded taht set and labeled it In search of sunrise 3 cuz it was the perfect closing set. The long drive and long wait was worth it cuz i got my Magik 7 cd and my blackholerecords.com shirt signed by tiesto. For that i really have to thank tiesto's gf cuz she's the one who brought it up to him.

Trancefusion.... that autograph pen that you have belongs to me and u know it. I bought that pen just so tiesto could autograph my cd and shirt. Cant believe u jacked my pen even tho i told u it was mine. How jacked up is that?? Tranceaddict doesnt need members who steal from other members.
