Here is someone who knows there dining. Definitely top picks for this city!!!

Less Expensive... but great options that are on my fave list are
Kalendar on College
Cafe Le Gaffe on Baldwin

I just recently went to 5 Doors North on Yonge for a birthday dinner. It is a restaurant that comes up alot as being a great place to dine. It was my second time eating there and the food was once again terrible. My advise for the day...Don't let anyone talk you into dining at this place.

Any suggestions?

for the north end, theres this place thats called something like The Doctor's Office. Ive heard nothing but good reviews from there, and that the steak there is very good. Also, theres The Octagon and Terra in Thornhill.

Are you talking about The Doctor's House? I've been there, it definately is upscale class .., but more traditional styled. They have private rooms for bigger sized groups, or the general restaurant area. I got an Ostrich Steak, and it was really good. Oh, and surprisingly Ostrich tastes more like beef than poultry

I've had nuff first dates at Panorama and each one was special (especially during sunset) but the food is SHITE!!! Def not a place to have dinner; just snacks/appetizers...their tiny plain pizza was nice.

The Doctor's House is a great place. Definately a place that will impress the parents too if distance is not an issue. Veiw-->The Doctor's House & Menu

The old Mill is a favourite of mine for a traditional English lunch, brunch or even dinner. Easy to get to in Toronto and reasonably priced too. View-->The Old Mill & Menu
